Just a quick note to say thank to Buckinghamshire County Council and the Iver and Wexham Local Area Forum for the grant for £1511 allocated towards the Active Agers project at the Evreham Centre. This will help us purchase equipment to allow us to offer two drop sessions for adults at the centre to support local people engage in activities such as pool, table tennis and darts as well as provide a meeting place and social opportunities.

 

 

Young Addaction Bus to Visit Iver during Half Term

Every Thursday from 21st July – 1st September (excluding 11th August) Young Addaction Buckinghamshire will be at The Evreham Youth Centre car park from 2.00 – 6.00pm. This service is free of charge for school aged children who wish to make use of the opportunity but is aimed at young people aged under 18. Young Addaction will be bringing their Bus equipped with an X-Box, music equipment and production software. The Bus also has bike repair equipment so young people can bring along their bikes and work with a member of the Young Addaction team to get them repaired or serviced.

The bus will be open throughout the afternoon and will be followed by the regular Thursday evening Evreham Youth Centre football session from 7.00 – 9.00pm and Youth Drop-In evening till 9.30pm.

Young Addaction are the Young Persons Drug and Alcohol Service for the under 18’s in Buckinghamshire and can provide confidential information and support on a range of issues.

The Evreham Youth Centre’s Thursday night ‘Youth Drop-In’ evening is open throughout the year, including school holidays.  Aimed at young people aged 13-18 from the Ivers and surrounding areas, the Youth Centre is open from 7.30 – 9.30pm with a range of activities on offer. Facilities include football coaching on AstroTurf with a qualified football coach, pool, table football, table tennis, games consoles, music, an IT suite, tuck shop as well as offering information and advice. Admission is £2.00.

To take part in the football enter the Youth Centre, sign in and pay your money whatever time you arrive. When everyone is assembled the coach will take you to the pitch. If it is your first time attending, an information and consent form will need to be filled out. These are also available from the Youth Centre either on the day or in advance. At 9.00pm you are welcome to sign out and leave or stay for the last half hour of the youth session.
